Al Franken, will finally be declared the winner of the Minnesota Senate race. Incumbent Norm Coleman has been dragging this out to help fundraise for the GOP and begin a massive smear on Franken. Now that the republicans are through with their games, Minnesotans finally get full representation in the Senate. How nice of them to concede.
Here are a couple things that look interesting I haven't red them yet - but will.
Olivia Johnson is back from a sabbatical. She writes some of the most interesting stuff around. It's pretty heavy reading, and I usually only understand parts of it, but I always look forward to fighting though her work. You can read her new column here.
There is an (apparently) damning article on Sarah Palin. From what I gather this woman is beyonds stupid and crazy. Can't wait to dig into this.
John Edwards apparently begged his assistant to claim that the baby Edwards' mistress had, was his. Further indication that the baby belongs to John Edwards and that this guy is really, really creepy.
I got to watch one of the most historic parts of the Michael Jackson Tribute at the Apollo Theatre. The Apollo is within walking distance from my apartment. Oh, when I say I saw it, I mean on TV at work.
Now that Billy Mays is gone, I am ready to step up and do that job. It is so me. Infomercials here I come.
Mark Sanford, Governor of South Carolina, has admitted to inappropriate behavior with more women and more meetings with his mistress. But he believes he should be forgiven because with him, it's not about sex - it's about love. Apparently a lot of love. The guy is beyond a hypocrite - he is a nut. Maybe there is something about riding on a high horse and being a professional scolder that makes people crazy. Personally, I think it is only people with deep emotional problem insist on being preachers of morality. Just think, this country was run by this mentality for a generation. No wonder we are in such a mess. They kept us focused on maintaining their definition of moral standards while the needs of the people were ignored and the financial riches of the nation were plundered. Very Taliban-y - no?.
More money for the subways here in NYC and fewer trains. You know what's good about that? Besides waiting longer for a train and squishing in with even more people, nothing.
I'm off to work. Have a great day everyone!!!!
