Happy Fourth!

I will be working today but I did get to enjoy a day off yesterday. I went to the Yankee game .. and we won!!! Very nice!

Sarah Palin quit yesterday I got a couple texts about it at the game. When I came home I turned on the news to check it out. CNN and MSNBC had recorded programming on so I reluctantly turned on FOX News. Their graphic said that Palin "was not seeking re-election". Bullshit - she quit! She will not serve out the term the people of Alaska elected her to do. She is NOT just refusing to run again (FOX can spin this into "well she's not a typical power hungry politician who only wants to be in office") No FOX - she is quitter - unable and now unwilling to be a Governor. Yes, they spin it to their viewers to make it seem admirable rather than cowardly, but you don't quit halfway through your responsibilities. We all know that if you are a "social Conservative" you can do anything you want as long as you say the right things. I'm guessing that a big scandal is about to break and she will turn her misbehavior into that well worn technique of "manufactured martyrdom" that right wingers always retreat to when caught doing something wrong. (waaaa. They wouldn't worry about me abusing power if I didn't decide to keep my baby .. waaaa)

No matter what, let us hope that Palin is forever gone from the political world and can now get real paid by matching wits with Miss California on "FOX and Friends".
