Is Tonight the Night?

Can the Yankees bring home their 27th Championship tonight? I think so.

Pretty much everyone I talked to said that they "knew" the Yankees would lose on Monday night. Some said it was the pitching match up and that The Philly's were too good of a team to be swept at home. Others thought that The Yankees just wanted to win at home. Of course, some think that the whole thing is a conspiracy anyway and that Major League Baseball wants to extend the Series as long as possible to make more money.

Whatever the reason (I think the first one) the World Series resumes tonight and everyone here now agrees on another thing: Tonight's the night! People have their Yankee gear on. Everyone is talking about the best bars to watch the game and the best place to go after the victory. All Yankee fans hope and expect this to be wrapped up this evening.

Personally I am hoping so. I have a day off tomorrow so celebrating tonight is definitely on the schedule. On Monday, I was sort of hoping we wouldn't win. I was (and everyone I work with was) exhausted from a grueling end of month which, as we found out, now means working for hours AFTER we close! So most people, even die hard fans such as myself, just fell asleep during Monday's game.

But not tonight! Everyone is ready to watch. Everyone is ready to celebrate. So let's hope for the best. I can't start partying until 10, so lets hope the game goes to at least 11 or 11:30 and lets hope it is an exciting Yankee victory!!
