Remember this video

There is a horrible story out there about a Census worker found stripped naked and hung to death from a tree with a rope. On the workers chest was written "FED" and cruelly duct taped to his naked body was his census ID card. I am not blaming anyone for this ..... yet .... it is a little to early. But it is also way out of bound for right wingers to claim victim hood for being suspected for setting the environment for such a vicious attack. They have set the table for other violence over the years (Oklahoma City, Abortion doctor murders etc.) and if it turns out that this guy was killed by some right wing nutcase, then your damn right that people who have demonize the census and their workers would be to blame.

Now the REAL reason for the war on Census is complex. There is just the general desire to ferment paranoia and anti-government sentiments but there is a practical (politically speaking) reason too. If an honest count took place it would further damage the GOP's chances of regaining power. Believe me, if people not being counted were tax hating, muti-billionaires, the Republican party would do everything they could to get an honest count. But since it is likely Democratic voters being skipped in the count, they demonize the whole census and lead their ignorant flock once again, into dark and dangerous areas.

Again, it's still too early to confirm responsibility but it is not too early to look at this video and understand how an environment for right wing domestic terrorism, a persistent problem in our nation's history, is once again being created by devious politicians and hateful talk show hosts.
